Stop and Smell the Roses

One of my favorite sayings goes as follows: “the days are long, but the years are short.” Months go by pretty quickly too for that matter. It’s already January 31st and it feels like just yesterday that we were celebrating New Years. If we don’t stop and smell the roses every now and then, we’ll be missing out on a quality life filled with gratitude and happiness. That’s why I’m suggesting:
Sunny Suggestion: Look back on your calendar for the month.
I always try to record every event I attend on my calendar so that I can remember it later. Studies have shown that we remember occasions better when we write it down and document it with pictures. So this month, I suggest that you look back at your calendar and remember all the exciting things you did this past month. Even though it may have felt like the month went by quickly, you’ll see that you actually did a lot in those few weeks that you may have forgotten about. So take a mini walk down memory lane!
Keep shining,

  1. My Dad was born in 1926 and he has asked for Roses for his birthday, the poem on this blog answers some questions, now he has plenty of time to smell the roses now he is retired. In the past people had more time to smell the Roses.
